Dial started during Fall of 2003 as a ‘forum’ for musical creativity. The general idea was to be free to make any kind of music without feeling bound to a certain genre or line up. Everyone brought their ideas and influences and threw them in the pot, and that’s how the music and sound of Dial was created. LiLo would bring her female rock oriented songs, while both Kristoffer and Rommert came from a more progressive pop/rock direction. This, together with a touch of industrial and a twist of new wave, started a very interesting and giving composing process.

"We express our own creative vision on alternative rock, pop, progressive rock and emotional music. This, with a nice touch of 'old' school' hard rock, industrial and new wave influences. Still, we like to put our selves in the genre of alternative pop/rock.’’ The lyrics on the 'Synchronized' album circulate around communication, relations, dreams and memories."

By the end of 2004, Dial had their first demo recording, which never left the recording studio. 2005 was used to continue writing, re-arranging and tweaking the songs.
Early 2006 Dial got in touch with musician/producer Devon Graves (DeadSoul Tribe/Psychotic Waltz) who enthusiastically offered to produce the début album `Synchronized´. Devon also agreed to do some vocal and guitar appearances on the album as well.

On drums the band worked together with Dirk Bruinenberg, a well known musician in The Netherlands who currently plays drums with the French solo-guitarist Patrick Rondat. In the past Dirk worked with bands like Elegy, Consortium Project, Adagio, Kamelot, Ebony Ark and David Readman (Pink Cream'69).

Besides their self written songs, the band recorded their own interpretation of `Jewel´, an old intriguing pop song written and performed by Marcella Detroit (Shakespear’s Sisters).
The uniqueness of `Synchronized´ does bring some fresh waves into the modern music. Though it’s hard to compare Dial with any other band, there is a sense Kate Bush, Pink Floyd, Dalbello, Blackfield, Queen and Peter Gabriel in their music.
