RICOCHER IS SIGNED TO PROGROCK RECORDS Rancho Santa Margarita, CA 29 July 2004 - In the year 2000 the Dutch progrock band Ricocher started to conquer the world with their music. The current line-up consists of Erwin Boerenkamps (vocals, accoustic guitar), Bart van Helmond (guitars), John van Heugten (keyboards), Maikel van der Meer (drums) and Niels Nijssen (bass guitar). At this moment Ricocher has two releases, the first is the EP "Quest for the Heartland" and the second one is the CD "Cathedral of Emotions". The new release "Chains" will once again prove the importance of melody and stucture that is one of the main pillars in the music of Ricocher. "We've always been searching for a partner who was not only in the business for the profit but also for the interests of Ricocher. When I was in contact with Shawn it seemed that we finaly found this partner. He had our album Cathedral of Emotions and he even seemed to like it :-). He was very open in answering our questions and we surely hope that we will have a long and prosperous relationship." said John van Heugten, keyboardist with Ricocher. "I had no idea these guys weren't signed with anyone, I've been happily listening to their current album for the last year, so it was a pleasant surprise when John contacted me and we were able to work out a deal, I'm really excited about their upcoming album for later this year 'Chains'."
