CHAIN RELEASES SECOND ALBUM “CHAIN.EXE”
31 Jul 2011
Rancho Santa Margarita, CA – 20 August 2004 -- Chain's second album "chain.exe" is now upon us. After the work on this CD had to be put on hold for the production of the critically acclaimed "Frameshift", featuring Dream Theater's James LaBrie, Henning Pauly has finished the follow up album. This time around he could gather some amazing musicians to help him make this CD a more impressive progressive metal experience. Among the musicians are Jody Ashworth of Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Michael Sadler, lead singer from SAGA, and Mike Keneally (Frank Zappa, Steve Vai, Mullmuzzler, Beer for Dolphins, etc.) who lends his voice and guitar skills to the last track on the album. Sadler is singing on an already highly praised cover version of Saga's own "Hot to Cold" together with Chain's lead singer Matt Cash and Maya Haddi, who will also be singing together with Sadler on the upcoming double CD rock opera "Babysteps", which will be released in late 2004.

“chain.exe” is highlighted by the 38 minute track “Cities” which features a stunning acappella segment that reaches the extreme range of the human voice at the top and bottom audio spectrum. Michael Sadler, Matt Cash, Maya Haddi and Jody Ashworth all contribute to this amazing effort.

A “Limited Edition” version is also available which features a 60 minute behind the scenes DVD showing fun and interesting video of the band and their guest musicians. Now you can finally see how the Chain magic is achieved.

“chain.exe” is available for immediate ordering at http://www.therecordlabel.net/progressive-rock/chain/ where you will also find audio samples of the CD. The CD will be available the first week of September 2004 and the DVD for the “Limited Edition” will be available 10 days later. If you purchase the “Limited Edition” now, the audio CD will be shipped as soon as it is available and the DVD will follow in a separate package when it is available for no extra cost.
