HIDEOUT is the second studio album of the prog-rock band AFTER... from Wloclawek. Their first CD ENDLESS LUNATIC oscillated towards neo-progr-rock. The album featuring Colin Bass and Jozef Skrzek was brillantly received in Poland and abroad, especially aprpreciated in a prog-rock circle. HIDEOUT is the album that reflects young people’s fascinations of heavier prog-rock playing. More matured musically style of the band is based on two guitars, The special care of production ( by Zbyszek Florek of Quidam, masterring done by Grzegorz Piwkowski), can make AFTER... the best prog-rock album, not only in Polish rock music history but also worldwide.
Despite two faces of the album, one much heavier ( for DREAM THEATER’s fans) and the second more traditional, musically progressive, it is a coherent composition that takes your breath away.
