OZ KNOZZ SIGNED TO THE RECORD LABEL

Rancho Santa Margarita, CA – 3 April 2012 – “True Believer” the follow up to 2008's high praised 10,000 Days & Nights CD. The album which has been mixed and mastered by Brian Baker (of Derringer fame) is currently getting rave reviews in the UK press from Fireworks Magazine, Powerplay Magazine, Classic Rock Presents AOR and numerous websites and independent radio airplay in the UK (including ARFM).

Oz Knozz is Duane Massey, Milton DeCoronado, Robert Guinea, Bill Massey, and Marty Naul. The ten tracks on their latest release are as innovative as they are impressive. The majestic "Empty Room" sparkles with two familiar Oz Knozz elements: great solo work and subtle, tasteful harmonies. The guitar-driven "Goodbye Again" sports a Kansas (the band) flavor, and "Far Away" is a splendid vocal fest. The award for best groove on this offering goes to "Fox Paws", a sharp and sleek number featuring tight horn solos that provide a compelling contrast to the rest of the song. The pace slows, albeit briefly, with the melodic "Always There", while "Here Comes The Night" boasts a stadium rock intro and perhaps the finest vocal on the album. The up-tempo rocker "Visitor" is followed by the band's interesting take on the blues, "What The...?, complete with horns and a biting guitar solo. The title track brings the energy level up once more, before Oz Knozz wraps things up with the Queen-inspired "Kings and Treasures". The production and performances here are all first-rate. Give this one a listen, and you just might become a "True Believer" yourself!

Rancho Santa Margarita, CA – 5 March 2012 – "Electric Forest" has ten tracks that run the gamut from a miniature rock opera (Avatar Jones) to a progressive radio single (Black Hole), with strong progressive instrumentals (Particle Dance, Erdinger) rounding out the release. Gekko Projekt, a four-piece ensemble consisting of guitar, bass, drums and keyboards, blends traditional symphonic progressive rock and jazz fusion with modern influences. It features soaring guitars reminiscent of Genesis and real analog synths ala Yes, supported by driving bass and drums that harken back to Rush.

The two-part Landscape Burning suite features 15 minutes of progressively styled music reminiscent of Pink Floyd and Alan Parsons. Offering acoustic music laced with flute to harder-edged rock tunes doused with sax, this has the appeal of the more thoughtful popular music by the likes of such diverse acts Fleetwood Mac, Genesis and Paul Simon etc. The underlying basis is Peter Matuchniak weaving his ethereal guitar sound into his strong compositions that showcase a top-notch supporting cast.

A return to the melody-driven arrangements of their debut, ‘Field of Names’, while retaining the heaviness of the band’s third effort, ‘In Focus’. 'In-Between' highlights Alias Eye's approach to songwriting: strong vocal hooklines are paired with lavish choir arrangements and meticulously arranged instrumental passages. From the oriental flair of the opening track, ‘Arabesque’, to the mellow, bitter-sweet lament of the ballad ‘Stars Shall Fall’ and the heavy guitar riffs of ‘Indentured Pride’, ‘In Between’ is a truly progressive journey through a variety of different styles and genres.

While the story of their previous 2 album series "Personal Effects" was set in a dark urban and futuristic setting, the new songs are connected by a different theme. They are about things that haunt us, things that cannot fully be grasped, things we carry with us, emotions that echo from former times.
