'Some Kind of Poetic Destruction' is Factory of Dreams 4th album. A conceptual scifi album that follows the adventures of Kyra, a unique and mysterious character who holds the key to our fate.
Something is closing in on the Earth. What is it? What is its purpose? What will happen to Earth? Discover this amazing storyline, full of surprises and mysteries, as we follow Kyra on an epic journey to find her purpose, faith and destiny throughout nearly 70 minutes of music.
This new album explores even further the sound of the previous album Melotronical, pushing it beyond the boundaries of the Electronic Progressive Metal genre. Expect poignant melodies, heavy passages balanced by atmospheric parts, rhythmical changes and instrumental sections that are sure to delight all who appreciate the genre.
Track highlights are the explosive Neutron Star, the epic Join Us into Sound, the powerful Dark Season featuring Magali Luyten, the beautiful Seashore Dreams (cd includes the full version of this track ~7 min) and Angel Tears featuring great interaction and duets between Jessica and Raquel Schüler.
Hugo Flores also decided to remake an older song called Playing the Universe, now revamped by Jessica's vocals, that perfectly fits the storyline.
This album features amazing guest vocalists and musicians:

Odin's Court - Appalachian Court

Appalachian Court is a new, all acoustic album from ODIN’S COURT, a USA based rock and metal band. The album, while firmly rooted in the acoustic rock realm, has its own, unique, well blended sound featuring aspects of various genres such as rock, progressive, folk, country, bluegrass, reggae, jazz, and more.

This release, the third on PROGROCK RECORDS, takes the band in a very different direction than 2011’s HUMAN LIFE IN MOTION and 2008’s DEATHANITY. Band leader Matt Brookins comments, “We have very diverse musical tastes – ranging from slow to fast, soft to heavy, and everything in between. With Appalachian Court, we wanted to do something very different than our previous efforts, so we went for a very stripped down and organic approach. That doesn’t mean the ODIN’S COURT sound is missing – we are happy with the final balance of acoustic rock infused with our more diverse sounds.”

The album features a wide range of more traditional and acoustic instruments including acoustic guitar, mandolin, piano, double bass, mountain dulcimer, banjo, harmonica, squaresaw dobro, and acoustic drums. Brookins comments on this sound, “This was a very fun project for us, but is not an indication of a permanent change to an all acoustic format. We are still working on our reboot, remix, and remaster of our first album DRIVEN BY FATE, and also have well over two albums’ worth of material for brand new releases in the future. This acoustic album was just another evolution of our diverse style, and the electric instruments will be back for future releases.”

On the decision to include cover songs on the album, Brookins comments, “We have always enjoyed working a cover into our live sets; however, we have never featured one on a recording. For this one, we picked three bands that influence us to various degrees, and then proceeded to put our own spin on the tracks.”

On Appalachian Court, ODIN’S COURT drew from various inspirations such as Pink Floyd, Alison Krauss & Union Station, Devin Townsend, Porcupine Tree, Type O Negative, Dave Matthews, Bruce Hornsby, Queen, and the Counting Crows.

Primitive Overflow - Honor Way Down

Primitive Overflow presents an exciting new progressive rock album featuring Donnie Vie, singer/songwriter of the 80s MTV era band Enuff Z' Nuff. "Honor Way Down" features progressive cuts with power pop hooks that both sound current and evoke the early progressive scene, when rock & roll was a very spiritual matter.

Primitive Overflow is the brainchild of Hoyt Binder, a Los Angeles based guitarist/songwriter with a passion for deep music. Inspired by “The Creative,” he creates music for the sake of music. With influences ranging from 20th Century composers to jazz, rock, metal, funk, pop and folk, he aspired to write an album with no boundaries. Everything melds into the progressive melting pot that is Primitive Overflow. The end result is a unique sound, integrating progressive rock with catchy pop vocals, dripping with melody.

Nine Stones Close - One Eye on the Sunrise

Nine Stones Close delivers a lush and soulful third album that firmly establishes a trademark sound for the band.

Band principal Adrian Jones (Guitars) is supported by top class musicians from The Netherlands: Peter Vink on bass (Q65/Ayreon/Star One), Pieter van Hoorn on drums (Knight Area), and Britain: Marc Atkinson on vocals and Brendan Eyre on keys (Riversea).

The package is completed by Antonio Seijas’ beautifully haunting artwork (known for Marillion and Gazpacho artwork). The result is a sonic treat with truly soaring moments on tracks such as Frozen Moment, A Secret, The Weight, and the epic title track.

One Eye on the Sunrise is mandatory listening for rock and progressive fans and will surely be talked about as one of the best releases of the year!

Cryptic Vision - Of Infinite Possibilities

After a 5 year hiatus, Cryptic Vision releases "Of Infinite Possibilities" This album is part 3 of their trilogy "Moments Of Clarity In A World Of Infinite Possibilities" and is their most ambitious CD yet. From the opening 5/4 riff of Singularity to the bombastic ending of the title track, Cryptic Vision takes the listener through a progressive journey of the world we live in. From the scientific to the spiritual, from our inner soul to the outer Universe, the CD explores the meaning of our existence. Each song represents a different perspective of how we try to make sense of our world and what lies beyond. Musically this album covers all the bases, lots of odd time signatures, rich chord progressions, intricate rhythms, melodic hooks, powerful vocals and stunning solos. The bulk of the CD was performed by Rick Duncan, Todd Plant, Sam Conable, Tim Keese and Howard Helm but also feature guest musicians David Ragsdale (Kansas), Gary Schutt, John Zahner, Shawn Bowen, John Leblanc, Mike Carello and Carrie Preston.
